Overclocking 4930k

Hello,
I have a 4930k with:
Sabertooth x79
G.Skill RipjawsZ DDR3 1866 PC3-14900 32GB 8x8GB CL10

The system is running 24/7 doing a lot of virtualization, its currently working at 100% with 50-55ºC as core temp and 55-60ºC as individual core temp with a bad cooler.

I would like to low/medium OC it, low ºC and voltage, i want it to last.
Im aiming to improve software stability and speed, will it work? Anyone know a stable OC for this setup? Would like a cooler that doesn't rape a RAM slot, is CM Hyper212Evo enough?

If you're using the computer for work (as 24/7 virtualization hints at) it's probably not worth it to overclock. Too many headaches with the warranty and potential downtime.

If you're not: try bumping the voltage offset to +0.005 and the turbo up to 4.0GHz or so. That'll mean the CPU will draw more voltage when necessary (to a point) to maintain the high clock stably. Keep an eye on the CPU voltage to make sure it doesn't go too high while stress testing. Increase turbo if desired and offset (to a point! Don't want to melt your CPU) if desired turbo speed is unstable.

As for a cooler, I'd recommend a Noctua NH-U12P, which has excellent reviews and shouldn't eat up space above memory slots.
 
as sleepingforrest has said, If its used how you said it probably wont be worth the overclock because it will generate more heat and if its running at 100% usage you could cause a melt down.

Noctua seems to make the most used air coolers, You could always change that out for a closed loop watercooling setup to help with temps.
 
Seems my cooler is not that bad since i have a H212Evo, i really just need a little OC so everything runs smoother, ill check the noctua and the watercoolers, thanks.
 
I suggest go silent. Get a closed loop with dual rad 120xx Tt ,,,,,,,,,, and reduce her in your bios. What matters what the air temp is in your room. If its cold youll get good temps,, if its hot,,, that is not good,,,, cpu can die. thx
