For a second system I have pretty much the exact setup you have including the video card. In regards to oc'ing it, you should be able to change your FSB (no ifs ands ors about it). Try using your up down pages, + or - keys or whatever but you must be able to change it.

One thing for sure, in my setup I could never get much of an OC until I disabled the following stuff...
_PEG Link Mode___________________Auto
_PEG Buffer Length________________Auto

_AI Clock SkewA__________________Auto
_AI Clock SkewB__________________Auto

that stuff I had to turn off to start OC'ing and then started playing. In other words chage it from Auto to Disabled or whatever else it gives you a choice to.

In regards to your 1.4V on Vcore, it's a good amount... I was able to get my X2 4800+ from stock 2400 to 2700Mhz on that and maybe a bit above. At 1.5 or a bit below I could be stable at 2850 or so.

Also try to enable this just for fun to test:
ECC Configuration
___DRAM ECC Enable______________Disabled

Also even though this board talked so much about being able to OC the HT you can actually play with that to see how much better you can OC your CPU without having to deal with the HT speed... thus

_HT Link Speed___________________1 GHz
and
___HT Link Speed_________________1 Ghz
try setting that lower if you are going to go from say 2400 to 2700. Again just to get it there then bring it back up. I am trying to elimate your issues.

i can only disable the PEG Link Mode, "disabled" isn't an option for the other three

what the purpose of enabling the DRAM ECC?

and can you pls explain a little what u mean by the HT Link stuff..? thanks bobokatt
