overclocking 3200+ Winchester on ABIT AV8

Hi ,

I just got a new setup AMD64 3200+ Winchester 939 and AV8 3rd Eye .

The thing is ive never overclocked a AMD64 board/chip before.

I had a mess around with FSB and stuff and it went from 2000MHz to 2250MHz but when i start windows XP , i get this thing saying , Error the system will now shut down in 30 seconds with a little yellow error tiangle ?


Can anyone tell me why this is , and how its related to my overclock .

Also any tips on overclocking my setup , would be great 🙂
 
Well, I have Kingston HyperX PC3500 CAS2 (the old good stuff) and I set the memory ro DDR366, the fsb speed to 235 and the cpu voltage to 1.6 This is the best I can get so far. If I try 240 or higher, even at 1.7v its not stable. If somebody else does better on a 3200+ 90nm, let us know.
