Overclockers: Any D3 problems?

if u overclock it wouldn't be a problem of Doom3, it'd be your video card. Meaning Doom3 and overclocking have no relevance whatsoever.

My card is overclocked to 9700 pro speeds, with 4 pipelines softmodded open in the drivers. Not a single problem, and the game runs great.

I think he's referring to the statement Carmack made about the 6800 cards and overclocking when playing Doom 3. Supposedly it utilizes parts of the card that haven't been used before and he's not sure how it'll affect the card when overclocking.

Yes. 9800XT . . . (of course the CPU o/c doesn't matter)

I have to switch Overdrive off.

At stock "XT" speeds - 412Mhz core; there is NO artifacting (ever). . . . ~415Mhz it starts and is VERY annoying at 418Mhz

However, it is VERY playable at stock XT speeds - timedemo1 gets 41.5 FPS at 10x7 HiQ. 🙂

D3 is running smooth on my card. It's running at 400/1100 right now.
Also, I'm playing it at ultra quality.

Had my 9800np at 415core/315ram...no problems in far cry or UT 2004...but got all this snow(speckles) in Doom3. Had to set it down to 400/300 to get looking normal again. Damn.
