I have a 1.6a
abit be7
256 ddr
stock intel HSF with thermal pad

i have the bus set to 173 with a 1:1 divider for ram (346; abit board does not allow another multiplier that doesn't hugely increase the ram clock) and using a 1.62 vcore (abit board allows only percentage increases and undervolts by about 0.05 volts)
this equals a clock speed of 2775mhz
my only concern is that things are a little too hot
using the onboard motherboard monitoring chip and software (winbond hardware doctor) i get load temps of 64-66 C for CPU and 80~ C for System
however everything is fine and I run 100% load 24/7 and have been running this way since i got the system assembled about 1 1/2 months ago.
im concerned that this is too hot and i should back off to a 166 bus or less (since this is winter time as well and the house is colder than normal, 20~ C)

anyone else care to share their temps?

That sounds way too hot to run at, but the system temps don't coincide with the processor temps. I think the problem must be one of the temperature sensors, and if you've been running 24/7 for a while with no problems I'm guessing it's the cpu temp sensor. My two suggestions are try a different monitoring software like "Motherboard Monitor," and also search through forums trying to other people with an Abit BE7 that are having the same problem, it might not be an isolated case.

I'm running a 1.6a on an Epox 4G4A+ with Mushkin PC3000 ram @ 150 FSB with a 4:5 divider
which translates to 2.4 Ghz and 376 Mhz ddr. My load temps are low 50's for cpu and low 80's for system temperature.
My Vcore is 1.7 and my Vdimm is 2.8 (these are a little high I'm still twiddling with it as we speak).

Hope this helps,
Scorp

I think these abit boards read temps a bit high...
I have an Abit IT7 Max2 Rev2 and saw at OC forum it reads cpu temps 10-15c too high

I have a P4 2.4@3.0 at 166fsb with stock HSF at 1.65v ..idle is 1.63v and load 1.6v

idle system 34C and idle cpu 44C
load system 35C and cpu 65C

I had a Abit KR7A in same case with less fans and sytem temps were 25-26 C in Winter summer would get to 30C...so as I seem to be getting at least 5C over temp so to speak

i don't think it's possible those temps are quite honest.. the computer probably wouldn't be fully stable at 70C... I think those sensors read high.. it happens all the time. If your computer is running okay, I'd say leave it.. if it starts to cause problems, then wonder.
