Hey guys, I guess I should cut to the chase. I hit 2.9ghz @ 1.42volts load temps maxed at 43*C while running prime 95 for 47minutes stable(had an error at that point). I was really impressed, this cpu is great!
Now I'm working on the ram. I'm absolutely new to this. I've been doing calculations and running it relative to the HTT, I managed to get DDR568 with the cpu running at 2698mhz.
Here's my question though..being a noob..
1)when do I know that I need to up my voltage for the ram??
2)WHy doesn't the ram frequency show up on cpu-z when at certain settings while running fine(is that an indication of anything)?
On my dfi lanparty nf4 ultra, I am able to see my speeds when i run the memtest, but the speeds I get are off from what cpu-z shows me.
Any answers ? Or even more so, any questions ? I'm going to upload a screen shot of my comp running @ 2.9ghz. Feel free to ask any questions about my setup, even though I am seeking help, it can certainly go both ways for any other potential opteron ethusiasts. cheers! and Happy New year!
