Also a Farcry bench comparison thread.

X-bit labs has an overclocking article between X800pro and GT and the GT wins (both in overclocked vs. overclocked cases and non-overclocked vs. non-overclocked as well)

Proper Comparison

You can't just judge which card is faster comparing a stupid 3dmark03 and 1 game? Come on give me a break. Even ATI thinks X800Pro is slower, that is why they are releasing the x800 GT. ....Not to mention the fact that 6800GT even costs less on pricewatch.....

GT can easily overclock to Ultra speeds and achieve its fillrate

Now lets look at the best X800Pro overclock...=> 630mhz x 12 pipes = 7560
Far short of the 8320 fillrate of the x800xt pe

Cheers.

Sad day for my poor GT.... :(

Yeah, that's pretty rough you only got a card that runs at the speeds they advertise it to run at. Same thing happened to me yesterday- I bought a 1lb steak and it only weighed a freaking lb! I expected at least1.2[/b]lbs, I read about some guys on the net who get bigger steaks than advertised....

You have issues, Rollo; seek help :p.

If this was reversed, you'd be singing the praises of Nvidia's well designed core and headroom, and ATI's putrid design and lack of overclockablity.
