I get this random freezing that happens sometimes when I go on youtube or just browsing using Internet Explorer. It doesn't always happen but I've noticed that it does happen more often when loading youtube videos. This usually happens once or twice a week. Computer has been stress tested with the following:

Linpack - IBT/LinX (64bit): 30+ passes (Max memory and CPU Stress)
Prime95 64bit: 10+ hours (both blend and custom)
Memtest: 10+ hours

OS: Vista Ultimate x64
Components:
Intel E6400 @ 3.5-3.6ghz
Abit IX38 QuadGT
4gb Crucial Ballistix (D9GMH)
8800GT
Silverstone Olympia 650W
Ultra 600W (1000VA) UPS

This happens even with a fresh install of Vista after formatting. On my previous motherboard P5B Deluxe which I ran for 2 years, it was perfectly fine.

Any ideas?

Could be a corrupt flash install or some wonky browser plugin situation. Try removing all plugins and start over.

If that was the case, would that actually be sufficient to cause it to freeze completely? I actually have to reset the computer when this happens.

I've thought about that and disabled hardware acceleration in Flash settings and it's still crashes once in a while. If it was the videocard, would it not crash more often in anything else such as playing videos, especially ones that do use hardware decoding.

Huh, I had this for a while too, on fairly different hardware. (Q9300, and ATI video card.) It stopped when I backed off my CPU overclock a tad, even though stress testers were fine - and yours seems on the extreme side. Worth a shot.

i vote for video driver problem since we all are taking random guesses at this.
