overclocked 1.6A can't run fifa2002?

my northwood runs every games well
serious sam:SE, comanche4,max payne, MOH:AA, RtCW, TigerWoods 2002, C&C renegade

and passed 6hours hot cpu test, super PI..

but.. can't run crappy fifa2002..

what's wrong?... I can't understand..

is fifa2oo2 the most cpu stressing apps in the world??

Does it run fine at normal clocking?

Some apps stress different parts of the cpu, while almost no program taxes all parts of the cpu.

If it is unstable with a program that normally runs at a lower clock then its still unstable.

That tells you the story, it has nothing to do with your cpu and everything to do with a crappy game. You problem is related to OS, direct X, open GL or whatever that game uses.

Everey game stresses the processor/memory subsystem in a slightly different manner, evidently you hit upon one that stressed it in just the right manner to hit upon it's instabilities.
If your able to run it at stock clockspeed, but not overclocked then evidently your Northwood isnt 100% stable afterall.

Have you tested it under Prime95?
No stability test is perfect, but IMHO that's the best of them.

Has he actually said it works 100 percent when running non overclocked??? I didn't read it....

Patch your frickin' game first, try running at stock speeds, then reassess before assuming your problems are related to overclocking.

I didn't try fifa2002 at normal clock..
cause I must open the case and adjust dip s/w and jumper..
that's too annoying me...(I have a p4t-e -_-;😉

and I have no problem in running prime95 ..
and I think my OS(win xp) and directX are ok..
I have absolutly no problem in running any other games!!
