Just got a athlon xp 2800+ from a friend, and found out that it was unlocked. Stock it runs at 2.83 Ghz. (12.5 x 166) Would it be more stable to overclock it with a higher multiplier and only increase the fsb a little, or lower the multiplier and increase the fsb more? So like for 2.2Ghz (11 x 200) or (13.5 x 163)... actually would decrease fsb for the 13.5 multiplier. Which would be more stable?
Thanks!

Highest FSB possible with a low multiplier will give you the best performance results.

Depending on what motherboard you have, different FSB settings will be more or less stable. I've got an epox 8rda that is stable up to 200mhz, but not much farther past that. Cheap boards may not do much past 166mhz.

i had a mobile 2800 and nf7-s, you want to get it to 200, it should do 2.1@10.5x200 below 1.7 volts, mine maxed around 2.65, depends on the chip

Most of the NF7-s boards that have gone out in the last year will not do over 215fsb. If it is a mobile chip then you will probably get close to 2500mhz
