Lite-on owns. I have a 401s (4x +R only) that I modded into an 811s (8x +R, plus 4x -R). Works awesome!

Okay. I've tried it and it works a treat. However, I need to get some DL media to see if I can burn DL.

you have to mod it into a 411s first, then an 811s - works great!

JUst thought I'd update you all. I got a couple of RiDisc DVD+R DL Media today. So I thought I would try to burn DL and it worked perfectly.

8.5GB on one DVD...luvely jubely...

hrm mayby its time I upgrade my 411s to 811s even though my ritek media is 4x. I just wish I could add dual layer suport to my drive
