Yes, dump the 805 and get a core2, any core 2. And forget that motherboard. If you are in a pinch for money, get a Gigabyte S3 for ~108 last I looked.

ya i am scraping for cash. i just read a little about being able to oc the 805 to 4ghz. thought it would be the cheapest way to go. ill check out the core 2 thanks.

the 805 might be a good Idea if you live in the Antartic...you won't need a heater then, but otherwise just get a E4300 and GA-965P-S3 if you want to overclock on a budget...much faster.

My ex girlfriend's rig, I almost went with an 805 and a DS3 965P because I figured, "I could dump the 805 and get the 4300 when the price drops to $113", but there's always complications with "planning" on getting a better CPU. I ended up dumping the OCZ GameXStream 600 and went with this cheap $28 CoolMax 500 watt power supply, and I used the $100 I saved to get a Core2Duo because I knew that as long as I didn't over-clock, the cheap PSU would last til I could scrape up the money to get a tier 3 PSU. The thing is, when I went that option I only lost $28, but if I went with the 805? That'd be $92 I lost forever, or even as much as $40 because I wouldn't sell an 805 used for anywhere more than $50-55, especially if I start selling it when Intel drops the price on 915/925's to 70-80$. I recommend you get a cheaper GPU, something like a 7300GT or 7600GS, and wait until the 8600GT comes out and save up until then. You're on a budget sure, but doesn't mean you shouldn't get good deals and good parts that last a while.
