I just overclock my e6600 after a year of owning it and i'm having some problems running FSX. CPU is currently at 3348.0 Mhz and I ran it yesterday for 20hrs with Orthos on small FFTs. Got no error or anything.
The problem is when running fsx the GPU (8800 GTX) only uses about 17% ( 130MB measured with Memstatus 2.6) of its available ram and i get about 2.2 FPS. I uninstalled and reinstalled the GPU and reinstalled FSX and no improvement. It ran fine before I overclocked the CPU.

The PCI express was set to 100mhz when i overclocked the CPU are there any steps i can take to bring stability to the GPU and get back full use of the ram? Settings in the bios that i forgot? Need some help! Thanks.

::edit:: I tried the Ntune stability test and it gives me an error when i test the gpu only.

[error message] The instruction at "0x06bf6e55" referenced memory at "0x0000002c". The memory could not be "read". [/error message]

I think i got it. MB is a ds3 rev 3.3. I went back into the bios and increased the PCI express setting from 100 to 101 and performance is back again in FSX. Is it safe to run it there from the default of 90s? GPU usage is still at 17% but it is a cpu intensive title. thx!
