overclocking a low-end card doesn't make any sense at all, you wont see any improvements. I've tried it w/ my Geforce 5200 Ultra using coolbits & Rivatuner but there's no performance gain, no fps increase.

The Ti Series GF's are not comparable to an FX 5500. The MX 4000 is what is comparable to that one (MX 440 in the GF4 period). A Ti-4200 and an FX 5700 Ultra are about the same speeds, maybe just a 5600 Ultra, but definitely an Ultra. Yes, you would see more reaction from a Ti like the one you had. But no, neither an FX 5200 or 5500 would respond at all similarly. Those are EXTREMELY slow VGA cards. All of the GF4 Ti series was high performance for its day, but none are even at the mid level of today's cards (GF 6600 GT).
