My cousin has about 560 cards which he wants to sell.

Where can i see how much each one is worth?
What are the price range for such collections, and where can i sell them.

Beckett makes a price guide for both cards. Try beckett.com or go to your local card store and pick up a physical copy of the Beckett magazine.

Price guide != price you will get in real world.

But right now, since the pokemon craze died out 3 years ago and only uber rare yugioh cards will fetch more than $10, he won't get much. Unless they are all first editions or misprints.

Heres a "price guide"

Common: you won't get jack.
Uncommon: you won't get jack.
Rare (non holo): $.05
Holo Rare: $.25
Rare holo rare: $1-$50

get a beckett guide. find the valuable ones, either ebay or get a local card shop to buy them for < 1/4 of the book value.

edit, by the way, I just sold my yu-gi-oh collection of cards (two excellent ultra rare decks, one of which was an exodia/destiny board deck) and the rest of the commons for $225 to a friend that still plays.

That might be the way to go as well, find the local shops, find kids still playing and sell them to them.

Geez. This isn't that complicated. First, are they good enough to sell - untouched (always kept in cases)?

If so, go on E-Gay and type in "pokemon" or "yu-gi-oh" and sort by price, starting with the most expensive. Make a list of the most valuable ones, making sure you understand about editions, quality, etc.

See if you have any of the cards that are worth bucks.

Then, sell them.

Or, you can take them to a card shop, or put an ad in the supermarket or something. Less bother. Good luck.

oh, don't sell to a shop, they will rape you with their stone faced haggling tactics. Sell to a private collector. Ebay isn't a bad way to go. And you will get more for them singulary, unless u have a complete set.
