Showing $9.99 for me

I have never played a jRPG, hmm.... maybe I should try it

 You make me envious... And I just paid for it too! (still 12.49 from where I am)

Looks like steam adjusts its prices depending on location, I guess.

To those that got the game without knowing what they were getting themselves into, I HIGHLY suggest that you read the wiki. You will probably need it.

This.. The game has a very Star Ocean feel to it (Enix Team 10 vs. Remnant's Square Team 2). The game looks graphically just like a Star Ocean game.

I got the demo just to see if it would run on my hardware (8400M GS) and was very surprised to see how good it looked and that it ran well. But the game, like Star Ocean and any Tales of ____ game, will have a very steep learning curve. It's definitely not a "Jump in and have fun" game.

Also, its another sloppy Xbox 360 port (think Halo 2 for Vista where they show xbox buttons in the tutorial rather than keyboard keys).

You can change the display settings to show PC keys. The learning curve in this game is definitely above Star Ocean and Tales of ____ games. All the classes, ranks, requirements, skills, combos, formations, and even characters have little to no info available in-game. It is definitely a "go the hell out there and figure this shit out for yourself" game. The wiki doesn't even make the game easier, it will just make you aware of all the stuff you will do in-game if you want to go for the higher end battles. Totally worth it for me as I am a sucker for stuff like this.

Shows $9.99 for me as well... though, from what my friend says, the controls really suck, it was made for a console, and it shows.

Tell your friend to go to the settings menu and remap the keys. You can literally rebind every single action possible. You can play this game perfectly with a keyboard/mouse, actually I am currently doing so. You can probably bind all your battle controls to your mouse provided that you had enough buttons.
