I have a 300 Watt PSU. It is currently running the following:

Pentium 4 1.4GHZ with stock HSF
256 PC800 RD ram
1-30 GB 7200rpm Maxtor HD
1-16x DVD Drive
1-16x10x40 LG CDRW Drive
1 80mm case fan
Another stock p4 fan (someone give it to me so I mod it to fit under my HD)
Geforce 2mx 400 32MB

I want to add another 80mm fan to it. It will be using a 4 pin plug which 1 have 1 left. I think it will be a Sunon 80x80x25 Fan.

Is this a safe or will it overload and PSU will blow?

Thank You.

It should be fine...people like to underestimate the power of PSUs these days. Just make sure it is a good PSU in any case and it'll last a long time

Agreed... if it is a quality PSU, you will have absolutely no problems. Before you do, you can go into your bios under power management tab and check out your current voltages. So long as the numbers aren't under recommended ratings, you'll be fine! Cheers!
