Over 30 and still getting pimples?

I'm 35 and still get them, mostly on my forehead. Not a ton of them but maybe two or three at a time. It really sucks, I've tried all kinds of lotions, cleansers, etc. Nothing seems to help. I drink plenty of water, eat well and take vitamines.

Shower more & shower better.

I have oily skin as well, but if you shower more, and try a few different types of soap, it could help.

Also, if you work out. Swimming in a cholorinated pool is pretty good for oily skin types. Swim laps and then go to the Sauna, and then shower. Your pores will clear out. For dry skin, I wouldn't recommend the pool.

I get 'em every now and then, and I'm thirty. My Mom's 60 and complains about 'em, too.

Go to the beauty shop weekly. What's your diet like? Do you get enough sleep every night? Lack of and irregular sleep pattern causes acne.

I had them really bad through high school and some of college. Now (at 24) I am in the 2-3 at a time stage and I just accept that as nothing seems to work. I have tried everything from uber face scrub to acne fighting antibiotics but nothing really cut down on them except time. A few zits here and there is not a huge deal, and I should know as someone was still willing to marry me ;)

I am betting it might be genetic (in your case as well as mine)

EDIT** It could also be diet and stress. I don't eat real well but I do take plenty of vitamins daily. Also daily showering does not seem to help.

I am 24 and I still get some here and there. Oily skin sucks. Whatever you do, don't just wash more, you will just over dry your skin. My method is to clean my face with acne cleanser once at night and once in the morning. Pat your face dry. Try not to touch your face throughout the day. It's not the oil that clogs your pores, its the dirt mixed with the oil.

I do have oily skin but only on my forehead, rest of my face is fine. I was my face at least 3 times a day. I guess I need something to use at work. My diet is fine, but I do have sleep problems.

This is very true. If I start sleeping very late at the night, or not getting enough sleep at all, acne develops on my forehead.

the technique that i found helpful was to not use actual cleansing cleaners. just use regular facewash with the microbeads. using the ones made for cleansing tend to make the skin too dry on the outer layer, thus making the skin produce more oil.

Some medications can cause outbreaks of acne.

Hard scrubbing of the skin will stimulate the oil glans, so don't be aggresive when washing.

My niece, a fair skinned redhead, has had acne problems for 11years. Started when she
was 16. Her Mother is a nurse and has pursued any solution. The best to date has been
Proactiv.com, $40 for 60 days and money back even if the bottle is empty.

She has been using it for > 5 years and finds it 90% effective. YMMV.

I'm an old fart, get a pimple about twice a year but never on the face. In the scalp from
wearing a ball cap too much or on the posterior from sitting at the comp :D

Why, are you suffering from acne and hairy palms? ;)

exercise more, have more veggies, have more water. they won't work 100%, but they'll help to a large degree. just think to yourself: every time you exercise and sweat like a pig, your pores are getting cleaner.

try to watch out for what you eat, there may be some certain type of food causing it. after years, I finally found out chocolate will give me pimples.
