Not too expensive please ( USA). Which one is better Laser or Inkjet ?
Any recommendations?
Thanks.

Laser is generally better for this. Does it need color? and would used be acceptable or do you need brand new? You can get fairly cheap mono laser printers on ebay in wide format but most wide format printers are very very expensive unless you buy used.

You're pretty much stuck with choices of inkjet plotters, I'm pretty sure. If you don't want to pay too much, get them used.

If buying used, buy a major brand, like HP, or Canon, so that repair parts are easy to get (if you're handy, you can do most of the servicing yourself). Also, make sure there are current OS drivers. You can have a print server in between, sometimes, but even that can be iffy, compared to local driver support for current OSes.

Very few wide format lasers. the Xerox Phaser 5500 is one of the few. They are not cheap.
