Man I feel your pain - remember though, 2 days on crutches w/ lots of ice and rest, even though it may sound like overkill can make a HUGE difference in your recovery time.
I rolled mine during the last indoor session so badly that I couldn't hardly put weight on it at all the next day - I couldn't really walk at all. I called off work for the day and just kicked it on the couch watchin the tube. 20 minues on, 20 minutes off with the ice for the day and I was able to play (in a lace up brace) pretty confidently in just 3 or 4 days.
The problem is that, once you do it, you tend to re-injure it frequently. Aircast is pretty secure, but I just go with the standard canvas lace up whenever I feel a little weak in the joints.
As for ice/heat - you ONLY use ice for the 1st 72 hours (for no more than 20 mins at a time) and you ONLY use heat AFTER the 1st 72 hours.
And definitely don't forget the anti-inflammitory meds - I usually go w/ ~800 mgs Ibuprofin 4 times a day for at least a few days.
