I hate to be this guy, but that kid with the Daisy Air rifle is putting himself in far more danger by carrying it than he is effectively arming himself.

Having Ukrainian friends and State Department friends, I'm unfortunately confident it's even worse there than things appear. It's an absolute bloodbath right now, from what I've heard. Maybe not Tienanmen Square yet, but that's a very cautious 'yet.'

Something seems funny about it all though. I mean the so-called protesters seem organized and have some kind of training. I mean they took 60 cops hostage and killed about many more right now I heard the government is abandoning the parliament buildings because the protesters are attempting to storm them.

Pretty freaking brave protesters or maybe...paid fighters like in Syria? Paid and armed by... who knows.

..has the obama drawn a line??

A squiggly line, a dotted line, a green line, a blue line, a red line, and the ultra secret ultra violet line that you need those special glasses to see. Not sure why he is drawing so many lines like that. Maybe some strange form of alternate art poster?

What are the protester's numbers like?

60 police hostages is nothing if 1000 people stormed 200 police.

there are probably 5 times as many protestors as governement enforcers. including pro russia militia. some rifles and lots of molotovs are extremely effective

..and nobody really knows what side of the line the obama is on.

Well now a part of the army has surrendered to the protesters, were stripped of body armor, frisked and then had their barracks burned down.
The government has declared the protesters to be terrorists and are launching 'Anti-terrorist operations' and them.

Moscow announced the resumption of stalled aid to Kiev on Monday with a $2m cash injection hours before the crackdown began.

This is another very good video. http://www.channel4.com/news/ukraine-kiev-watch-live-anti-government-protests-video

On NPR this morning Soraya Sarhaddi Nelson spoke of the protestors taking police who had surrendered to a "safe place". They would surrender and be led away somewhere muh nicer. Sounded quite fanciful when I heard it.

This is nothing. Most of the police aren't even armed with guns yet. But with this sort of violence, it won't be for long. They'll tell Yanukovich to sh!t or get off the can.

Their wall of fire is pretty impressive in terms of size and duration. Heard they also lit an APC on fire.

Looks like Obama sanction threats have freed Ukraine, constitutional changes and new elections are coming.
