Ordered me a GF 6800NU from Outpost.com.

However, it said nothing about being back-ordered in the item description.

I order it - they imply it's in stock, etc. etc..

Just saw the order - it's back ordered.

How long does it generally take outpost to get in items that are back ordered?

Will do, thanks Bendix. I think Newegg has spoiled me - nice ETA's and all, and can only order in-stock items 😉.
 
Outpost is a joke. No real time inventory. I'll never order from them again.
I ordered HL2 with overnight shipping. They shipped it alright, ground. 7day.
 
Call for Availability is not out of stock in my book, fkloster 😉.

They should outright post, 'Out of Stock' if they are 😛
 
Recently Outpost had a 36G Raptor for $70 after $30 MIR. It said, "In Stock" when I bought it. I checked. After it charged my credit card, it said "Partial Backorder". I got the hard drive ... two weeks later.

Outpost has some great sales, but I'll be hesitant to buy from them again.

I'm tempted to cancel my order. After tax and shipping, for the same shipping at the 'Egg, I can get several 6800NU's that the 'Egg has in stock.

Sucks to be in the same state as a business if it's online.
