Is this a different core than the one on Ebay (Palmero 1600MHz) for $82?

This is a 1.8 ghz chip

So is the one on Newegg for over $20 more. I was just wondering if these were the same two chips because if so, this deal seems like a steal for someone wanting to upgrade to a nice budget rig.

First you said Ebay, now Newegg. Also 1600MHz = 1.6GHz, that's why they said "this is a 1.8GHz".

Sorry...was shopping for radar detectors on Ebay and had them on the brain. Meant Newegg with my initial post. Both the Newegg and Outpost chip operate at 1.8GHz. The 1600MHz I mentioned was referring to HT.

Well we have no idea which revision this is or if it is even a palmero. Still at 59 its a good deal for a paris.

IIRC people who have gotten boxed Semprons from Fry's have gotten Palermo D0 cores (oldest Palermo, no SSE3 but unofficially with 64 bit). Of course YMMV. Supposedly Semprons at 3000+ or higher have Cool and Quiet. I know the OEM Paris core 3100+ from the recent Outpost deals have Cool and Quiet as well as 64 bit all while still being 130nm.

CPU is still available. Anyone get theirs yet? I'd like to know which core (CG/D0/E3/E6).
