Sounds like this baby is on back order? Can anybody confirm that? My home phone is down and unable to make a call at this moment. Bummer!! 🙁

I bought the same thing last week from buy.com with pricematch and free shipping. The total came up to be 87.50 shipped. Now CCi Technologies has dropped the price again on their website, so probably it's quicker to buy it from buy.com with pricematch then somehow get the rebate with a outpost.com receipt(the rebate form said only thru outpost.com)... Anyway, I'm returning this memory if no body buys it... comparing 256mb pc100 cas 2 and 128mb pc 133 cas 3, I rather spend the extra 110 - 87.5 = 22.5 to keep that DOTD few days ago... even though kingston might give rebate to drop it to 67.5...

Hey VivYip, thanks much for the rebate link! I couldn't find it anywhere.
Here's the info on the memory. When I ordered it was listed as in stock but the next day I received a package and later an e-mail which indicated it was backordered. Today I received another e-mail saying my item had shipped overnight and was scheduled for Sat. del. Sure enough, the memory arrived around 11AM. It has Toshiba chips - listed as TC59SM708F T-75. Haven't tried it yet but hopefully it's better than the generic stuff costing a little less.

Argh, don't forget there is $20 off sending $60 of flooz. The flooz will work for exact amount so send 89.95 to your "friend" and get $20 in your account. Ebates won't work w/ flooz but $20 is better than 3%

I just received mine today. it has ibm chips.
Coki is right that these ibm chips were crap.
They only can run at 100mhz but not 112mhz on my P2B.
My old micron pc100 stick can run 112mhz easily.
I also noticed that these ibm chips on the stick don't have the same date code. So $69 is too much for a pc100 generic ram stick.
I am going to return it.

Are you sure ebates doesn't work with flooz? I could have sworn I ordered something solely with flooz before and got the ebates credit to my account.

pclover - the memory is pc133, not pc100. Mine has Toshiba chips. Are you sure you ordered the same product?

Ring- the label on the stick is KVR133x64c3/128 CE.
the ibm chip part number is n364804ct3c 75a
But the result is very disappointed.

pclover - sorry, didn't think we had the same product. Item # is same but as I said, mine has Toshiba chips. Running my 566 celery at 100 FSB and really not interested in going higher at this point. Maybe in the future if I were to get a P3.
Anyway, good luck with your return. I did notice that Mushkin had a deal on their budget pc133 $79 with free shipping.
Budget 128MB
Might be worth a shot - at least no rebate hassle.

my experience with infineon chips is that their -8 cas 2 PC100 chips overclock higher than their -7.5 Cas 3 PC133 chips

According to overclockin.com, PNY pc133 with infineon 7.5ns chips can be overclocked to 140mhz. But I am very disappointed with my Kingston pc133 which has ibm 7.5ns chips.

It just tells you that PC1xx rating means nothing when you plan on overclocking it. I've seen PC66 infineon ram that runs > 133mhz at cas 2

Where can we get Infineon 7.5ns memory for this kind of price?

PennState:
Your PC100 chip sure run faster than my old MVital PC100 chip. 🙂

I just found that this kingston pc133 memory stick does not work with my another abit bx-6rv2 motherboard. it caused window protection error.
I don't why. I wonder if I got a defect memory stick?

Has anyone EVER got their rebates from Kingston?

Rebate deals are ONLY "good deals", if you ACTUALLY GET the rebate!

the kingston ram doesn't work in my abit mobo but seems to be working fine in all my other computers. It sucks nonetheless cause it only does 100mhz stable. I'd say avoid this deal.

The ibm chips suck.

I ordered this ram from officemax a few months ago and it was exiting games randomly. I returned this crap for a refund.

The ibm chips sucks and so does Kingston ValueRam.

Just ordered it two days ago. First they are back ordering, now they got a new batch in and they are Toshiba chips. Are they any good compares the high end chips? I got another order coming in soon, we will see if this will be also in Toshiba chips.

I also notice the other thread, regarding keeping the order if it's on back order. I just ordered another two RAM and it's on back order. Let see what will happen.
