Outpost has generic 512mb 3200 for $49.99 + shipping

Use this format ["letter_L"="name of link"]"url"[/"letter_L"]

EDIT: Sorry, I meant to clarify that you should substitute the proper things in for the descriptions (stuff in quotes).

If this is anything like the cheap 512MB PC3200 modules they sell at Fry's, it'll be Legacy Electronics Branded. You'll either get 64Mx4 based modules or if you're lucky, this stick which is BGA 32Mx8 based.

That's the cheapest nonrebate PC3200 ram I've seen from a reputable seller. I wonder if its that PC3200 CL3, PC2700 CL3 stuff, or if it can run CL2.5 at 2700.

Once you get it, you can go to Legacy Electronics and match the part number on the label and see what kind of module you have. Just look under the Products section. It appears they make several PC3200 flavors, CL2.5 & 3, 32x8 & 64x4.

I just wonder how good this memory is. I'm considering the 1GB PC2700 SODIMM at Outpost which is $149.99. It's covered under another thread both here and at the larger wallet site. Great price, next best price I can find is for some Kingmax stuff at Newegg for $202.

So I wouldn't mind hearing both good and bad stories about this Outpost/Fry's "Premium" brand (Legacy Electronics) memory.

Limit 1 with just a 1-year warranty.

Corsair ValueSelect at Newegg is $80 a stick and does CAS 2.5 just fine. The sticks I have will do DDR500 at the same published timings the "true" DDR500 does, 8-4-4-3, and at 2.6v.

Anyway, good deal if you need cheap RAM and don't care about the warranty.

just recently shown in cart as 54.99. need to call outpost and they will give a $5 credit back.

THe first time I purchased from outpost I had a problem with a rebate of theirs and never purchased from then again!:|

I ordered yesterday and paid the extra $3-4 bucks for overnight shipping. The sticks I got are Legacy "88x5HDL0-1RDG", CAS3 sticks. The webpage actually said "Limit 5" when I hit it, and changed to "Limit 1" during my checkout process. Thankfully, both sticks shipped. We'll see what they'll do once I get home.
