My original post:
Saw this in the bay area Fry's ad today, says one day only though. Same price at Outpost but I don't know if the price will be good after today.

Absolutely no info on timings/voltage makes me hesitant though, anyone have any idea what kind of modules these are and what timings/voltage they can do?

Edit: Went up $3 to $82.99.

Listed again in this weekend's paper. Back down to $79.99 through the end of Tuesday, Feb 22nd according to the ad.

Geil is usually pretty good at overclocking. So I would assume it should be pretty good. I am running a set of dual channel Geil PC3200 for over a year in my overclocked mobile setup and they have been great. I would not hesitate on Geil memory...In fact unless I ever have a problem, I will be using Geil in all my personal builds.

Timings are Cas 2.5 7-4-4 (3.5ns) comes with silver aluminum heatspreaders. These are from Fry's B&M. Don't have all the parts for my system to try them out though.

Looks like this one is available again through Tuesday (if the Outpost price mirrors the B&M at least).

Ordered 2 sticks of this 512mb 2 weeks ago, got it in 3 days.

Looks different from the picture on Fry's/outpost website. No temperature display. Part# is GL5124000ASC. Heatspreader looks like aluminum.

What are the timings like at pc3200? I'm trying to decide between this and the hyperx 3200 that they have that runs at 2-3-2-1. I'm guessing the kingston has better timings at pc3200, but that headroom is nice =)

this is sold to Fry's at a loss. My roommate has been talking to a US VP of geil and he says the components are good but not as good as the ultra platinum series. Slightly cheaper chips on there and slightly cheaper boards.

the timings in SKORPIO's picture are the same (CL 2.5 7-4-4 @ 250FSB) as the Ultra Platinum. maybe not as much overclockability?

i'm gonna pick up a stick to go w/ my Ultra Platinum PC3500 for my 8rda+ for a little dual channel action. hopefully it can do CL2 7-2-2 @ 200FSB which is what my existing module is at :)

Wow, really? I know Fry's sells the CPU/Mobo combos at a loss to get people in the store.

Good price if you ask me. I remember a few months ago I was shopping for some 512MB PC3200 and they had the GEIL brand at this same price.
