I've been looking for software for the last couple of monthes to allow me to sync the e-mail and calendar from Outlook XP onto my laptop so that I can work wirelessly and still have access to my e-mail so that I can reply and delete mail when I need to. It would need to be a two-way sync where all changes made need to be relected on each PC. I can't find anything that will do this. The laptop and desktop are networked together.

Try setting up the folder where your Outlook files are stored on your desktop system, as a shared folder. Then map that shared folder as a drive on your laptop and set it to automatically reconnect when you log into the system. Go into Outlook on your laptop, and one of the preferences menus will give you the option of specifying where you want your data files stored. Point it in the direction of the shared folder, and tell it that you want to use that as your primary data storage location. Now any messages that you get/send/draft on one system will be available on the other system.

that file is roughly 700mb, so its quite alot to stream over my 100mbs (or 11mbs WiFi) network.

You should clean up your mail once in a while.

heh belive me I do.:) Thats 4 years worth of e-mail. Every client e-mail gets filed into their respective folders in case I need to refer back to them in the future(which I often do).

I had a client do that before, she had 3 years worth of emails (only a couple hundred) stored in her inbox in outlook express 4 , she bought a new computer with XP and wanted me to move everything over.

let me tell you it was one of my hardest jobs, believe it or not OE6 can't import from OE4

the inbox is not the place to store client info.

I have folders in Outlook where client e-mail is saved to. I clear out my inbox folder every couple of weeks.
