It's been working fine for years. But one day, it decided to stop working. Absolutely nothing happens when I click on it now. Restarted the program, same. Rebooted, same. Any ideas?

I look outlook as old and buggy software. You should try setting your email account with Mozilla Thunderbird and see what happens.

Is this a pop server or an Exchange server?

How do you mean it stopped working? What errors are you seeing?

It works now after I rebooted again.

Before, absolutely nothing happens when i click the button. I don't even get any error messages. NOTHING happens.

Glad the first principal of computer troubleshooting worked. Amazing how many problems are solved by rebooting :)

A suggestion for avoiding future problems:

ASSUMING you really mean "Outlook", and not "Outlook Express":
1) Make periodic backups of your Outlook .PST file (assuming you aren't on an Exchange Server). PST files can get corrupted. I suggest storing the backups somewhere BESIDES on the same computer.
2) Write down your Server connection settings (Server name, account name, password, etc.)

Recent versions of MS Office have a "Detect and Repair" option that can fix minor problems. Re-installing Outlook is also pretty easy.
