outlook web access- rules

Hi.

We use Exchange 03. If I create a rule using outlook web access (a rule that will forward all mail to another mailbox), it comes up saying that this rule will be applied to all mail received.

Does this mean that it will apply the rule from that point in time, or it will apply the rule to the whole mailbox that is their now?

I just dont want to apply the rule and have 1500 emails sent to certain emails.

Many thanks

on the 2003 client it will prompt you to run it on your inbox [or not and do it for future emails]

IIRC in OWA it will not run it on your existing mail automatically.

thanks for the reply- was 90 percent sure that was the case but didnt want to have to explain a whole heap of mailboxes receiving 1500+ messages.

Cheers
