I hear my employer is dumping Lotus Notes in favor of Outlook.
Will I be able to get my mail on my phone without their support?
Does Android support Outlook?

My employer uses Outlook and I need to sync my work calendar to my phone without their support. If all you need is calendar sync support, go with Google Calendar Sync. Works great for me and installs on your machine without needing admin rights if you don't have them.

What are you asking here? Outlook is a client. Android does not support a client, per se. It supports mail standards. I assume your work will move to Exchange server? Android has great support for Exchange since 2.2 (maybe 2.1). This was not the case with prior versions where the support was terrible.

If your company isn't going to hook you up to the exchange server, the only way you can sync Outlook to your phone is through the various apps you have to install on your PC and/or phone that are linked in a previous message. I only need to sync my calendar (I have no need to sync mail messages and contacts, since I don't get paid to review emails after hours), so Google Calendar Sync is my preferred method. Dead simple to set up and no admin rights on your PC are necessary.
