Outlook question

I would rather not retype all my rules, are the old rules saved as a certain file type?
Can I just import them somehow?

Well, you don't say which version of Outlook. But, in general, yes. That is what the 'Export Rules' and 'Import Rules' options are in the Rule Editor.
