Outlook - Missing Unread E-Mail

New email is showing up in the Unread Mail folder and the Inbox says it has new e-mail, but the messages aren't showing up in the Inbox, only in the Unread Mail folder.

Missing Mail

The Inbox's last emails are from the 12th, while the new email in Unread Mail is from today, the 16th. The Inbox is organized by Date (Newest on Top), and when you hover over the message in the Unread Mail folder it says the message is located in the 'Inbox', but they aren't.

Any ideas?

Found this answer:

How do I direct incoming mail to inbox rather than to unread mail?

The Unread Mail folder is NOT a collection of e-mails. It is a search
folder; i.e., it shows the results of the search criteria for that
folder. The actual items listed in the search folder are in some other
folder.

If the search folder is showing selected items from the Inbox folder
then those items must be in the Inbox folder. That you don't see them
in the Inbox folder means you have a view applied to that folder which
will hide some items there. So check what view you have selected on the
Inbox folder.
.

Also this thread seems helpfull:
