Quick over view.. We have a user on our network with our OWN domain. This user is connecting to an exchange server in anOTHER domain. The user is getting prompted for an exchange server password several times a day, and not only that but the user has to re-enter the domain every time (OTHER\username) because it defaults back. Even checking the 'remember my password' does nothing..

Any suggestions on how to fix this? I had a problem where a Sharepoint folder kept asking for a password, but this sharepoint is on our domain, and by adding the server (http://sharepoint.own) to Internet Explorer's Intranet zone.. that seemed to help.

Thanks...

Never had to do this, but I think it might work for you. On the user's computer, go into Control Panel -> User Accounts -> Advanced Tab -> Click Manage Passwords. Type the fqdn for the server, and the OTHER\username and password. Let us know if that works.

If the other domain has password expiration, then I think the user will need to go in there and modify the stored password when it changes.

Yea, after posting this I did more googling and came across this suggestion so I implemented it on the users computer. We'll see if that helps.

The user said she was getting prompts like crazy yesterday, but today only one when she first loaded Outlook, so I'll have to wait a few days to see what happens now.
