Outlook IMAP

Is there a way to run IMAP with Outlook and ATT Yahoo mail? What are my options?

I really like having a client mail on my desktop and keeping folders on the server so I keep all my mail. Are there other clients out there that are better at this?

You can use Outlook with Gmail via IMAP. Just forward all your messages to Gmail and set up your default reply-to as your Yahoo address if you want (in Gmail settings).

Last I checked, forwarding in yahoo required their paid "plus" service. Gmail can pop-get from yahoo for free, but it's only scheduled like every 30mins or something, so notifications won't be immediate.

It's the primary reason I am phasing yahoo out and swapping it all to Gmail. You can get instant yahoo notifications, but only with their own app on phones but no IMAP.

That sucks. Well, honestly it's a good idea to get off Yahoo anyway. That company is a train wreck in slow motion...

Not taking the Microsoft offer was the worst thing they ever did... now they're pretty much headed off a cliff with no footholds in almost any of the new online markets. All they've got is the 90s set of search and email...
