Hey guys I have Exchange Active Synch working fine on my HTC Incredible the only thing we notice is that for emails that come into outlook with and are sorted to another folder via a rule do not show up on our phones.

Example -- email from Client X goes into a subfolder of the Inbox for Client X. Those emails do not show up on the phone.

Is there a way to fix this? Is a phone setting or an exchange setting.

TIA for your help

Greg

The HTC mail client (Sense UI) only shows mail received in the "Inbox" folder at the top level of the user's mailbox. Only mail received in that folder will trigger a push notification. The user should still be able to manually view the other folders by going to Menu > Folders.

If you are using automated sorting of incoming messages, you may be able to work around this by using the rule editor to apply your sorting rule after the message has been received, or by adjusting the priority of the rules. Also there are other EAS-compatible mail clients available on Android (K-9, Touchdown, etc...) that might provide more functionality. I haven't tried this out to confirm if it works though.

Good luck!

I can select other folders using EAS on my iPhone, but I have to manually select them.

Apparently there is an App called Touchdown that will allow you to sync other folders with notifications.

Well I can see "some" of my other folders when I manually select menus, folders but all them are not there.

I have heard Touchdown you have to pay for and it doesn't work exactly right. I'll look into though.

Thanks

So I downloaded Touchdown and it seems to be working.

I am on the 30 day trial so I'll fiddle with it for a bit and see if I like it.

Thanks

Also try K-9 mail. It's free/open source and their Exchange support is improving rapidly. Search the market for a release version or go here for the latest beta (you must enable "allow non-market apps" in order to install from the link below):

Good luck!
