outlook express link hang

about half of the time when I click a link in a message in outlook express, it hangs (just outlook hangs) for about 1 min. and then finally opens the ie window.

anybody know why?
 
my version is 5.50.4807.1700, but I used to have an older 5 version and it did the same thing with that

First, what OS are you running? Also what else do you have running when you try using Outlook?

Let's try that first... See where we can go from there.

I'm using win2kpro sp2 and it doesn't matter what apps I have running, but the background services I have running are: zonealarm pro 2.6, and aim 4.7
