Outlook Express Identities

Hey,

After I installed Service Pack 1 for Windows XP Professional, I cannot get into any other identity in Outlook Express other than the "Main Identity". It worked perfectly before I installed SP1. No changes have been made to the system after the install of Service Pack 1.

Please Help

I had same exact problem after install SP1.

Try to switch idenities and it just flashes like its going to but stays in same identity.

Only way around it is to go into Identities, Manage Identities.
Then unselect "Use this identity when starting a program"

Then when you go to switch identity it makes you switch twice instead of once before it does it.
Or if you change the starting program and then try to switch it will work.

Uninstalling SP1 only made OE take 5 minutes to open.. so I had to restore my image I made before installing SP1.

I wonder if you blow away all the identities before doing the SP1 upgrade if it will work after recreating identitites.

I already tried deleting all identities after the upgrade which didn't help.

I will try that and let you know.

I have this same problem, and decided to do a clean install using a bootable SP1 CD to fix it. It didn't. Still has the same problem, and it is very annoying!
