outlook expres help for multiple users

hi

i have a home machine with XP setup for 3 users. i have 2 POP email addresses, one of which is shared by the wife/family members [diff identities].
I have setup OE on my profile to check email on moth my servers.

what would be the best way to set up OE for the other 2 users so that if anyone checks from their login we would all be able to see our emails from the "family" POP account [sorted to identities via message rules], but they would not be able to see my emails from the 2nd POP accounts?

If i setup a common storage folder for all the users i assume that would be the way for all of us to get our email regardless of who synched with the server, but that wouldnt help with the 2nd bit of what i want to do.

I guess another solution is to use OE for the "family email" and setup outlook as well for the 2nd email for myself, but i am loathe to have to have mutliple proggies if it can be avoided.

also, is there a simple way to import the settings to OE for the other user profiles or do i have to do it manually for each?

all help in doing this is appreciated by an enthusiastic amateur!😀

File> identities> add identity

You can add identities. I assume that your current settings allow all users to see all accounts. Create a new identity(password protected if you like) and create the accounts you want each user (identity) to be able to see(hotmail, yahoo, whatever). Once this is done just remove the accounts you don't want everyone to have access to under the default account. Now when you need to look at an account that only you are allowed to see simply File>switch user and it will prompt for a password if setup to do so and take you to your individual mail folders. I hope this is what you were looking for and you can understand what I wrote. I haven't slept in a while.

dont take offence but i couldnt follow this too well and would really appreciate a fuller walk-through; from what i could get of it this might do the job for me!
