Hi guys, got a bit of a weird situation, all of a sudden after we binded dual T1's and put a cisco router in, random users at mostly morning and then evening hours will suddenly disconnect from the exchange server in outlook (no problems with other functions) and will not be able reconnect unless there's a repair made on the connection. The DHCP leases all seem to be good at 16 days max at a time from another server (dhcp isn't hosted on the router). Nothing strange in the events. All users are cached and download favorite public folders with a default time out of 30 seconds. All servers run Windows 2003 SP1 and latest updates with Outlook 2003 SP2 and Exchange 2003 SP2.

**update** ran some more tests, seems to occur to people who don't leave their machines on over the course of the night.

It's likely a DNS problem. Take a look at where client PCs are getting their DNS services from. And next time you lose connection, check out NSLOOKUP from a "good" client PC and from a "bad" client PC.

Yeah, I'll check into that too. Looks like I just found out DHCP was enabled on our cisco router at the sametime we were having our own DHCP server, so we disabled that and most of the users didn't have problems after that. Though I am having some problems sitll resolving names on some users. I'll also check out the rdns too.
