Outlook: Can recieve but not send mail (0x800CCC0F)

Outlook can recieve emails but not send emails. I get the following error message: "Task 'X - Sending' reported error (0x800CCC0F) : 'The connection to the server was interrupted. If this problem continues, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP). "
Tried turning the windows firewall off, tried turning off the POP3 scan of PC-Cillin and tired disabling "auto protect". The machine has service pack 2. The email settings check out and the fact that incoming make can be recieved shows the password and information is correct. (incoming and outgoing servers are the same).

Any ideas?

Are you saving copies of the mail on your ISP's Server?

If so, most have limits (generally 250mb per mail account)
and will stop you from sending until the account is cleaned
to below the limit. (250mb is pretty easy to accumulate with large attachments)
