Outlook and winmail.dat problem/question????

I have user that is on Outlook2000. Whenever he sends a Word attachment to a non Outlook/Outlook Express client, the recipient gets a file called winmail.dat. What is causing this? How can I fix it?

That was what was talking about. When they introduce him in the auditorium, they introduce him as Sohcrates Johnson.
