OutLook 2003

I have OutLook 2003 and need to diable the automatic send/receive
so that messages can be received on comand without any server notification
messages or icons at the bottom. I tried email account / advanced settings and unchecked
the connect to exchange server which worked but still was noticed and corrected
by my brother over a lan connection which I cannot block. This may sound like
a hide your stuff question, which it is, but I'm trying to hide my private stuff
from his snooping eyes. He is a network administrator where he works so he
knows Outlook inside out for the most part.

Who is "he"? Is this work related? Do you have a pst file? Did you know you could set a password on your pst file? More specific details are needed.
