When I close Outlook 2003, the Outlook icon remains in the system tray. And OUTLOOK.EXE is still showing up as a running process.
Any ideas why the program won't close out? Is this a setting somewhere?
Thanks for your help!
Open up the program fully and ogo into the options. Somewhere it will say 'Allow Outlook to be open in the background' or 'minimize on close'. Change those options. This exact same method aplies to MSN Messenger [no, not the builtin service -- the chat client!]. For some reason, Outlook and Messenger are linked, and you have to go into the options of both to break them.
are you using outlook with a domain email acount through exchange? that happened to me at work because outlook keeps a constant connection to an exchange server.
