Outlook 2003 Problem

For some reason today I started having a problem with Outlook coming up with an error message every time I try and reply to an e-mail. The message text is in this screen shot.

I haven't done anything out of the ordinary, so I am a lttle surprised that yesterday it was working fine, today it gives me this.

Any ideas?

BTW, I have tried repairing and reinstalling to no avail.

Do you have Word installed? If so, did you try reinstalling/repairing that too, or just Outlook?

If you don't need to use Word as your editor, then in Outlook go to Options-->Mail Format and turn off "Use MS Office Word 2003 to edit e-mail messages".

Hope that helps some, don't know why it would just stop working.

I have word selected, and yes, I have the entire Office 2003 Professional suite installed, including word and Outlook, both with SP2 installed.

you installed nero 7 recently didn't you? 🙂

here is the solution :

go to run and issue this command :

Regsvr32.exe %Windir%\System32\Ole32.dll

You're the man! Worked like a charm! Is there any resource or info about what happens?

This is one to remember...Thanks!

To the OP, you can also go into Outlook -> Tools -> Options -> and click on the Mail Format tab. Just deselect "Use Microsoft Office Word 2003 to edit email messages".

hclarkjr's solution is better though
