I may up from Outlook 2003 to Outlook 2007, but I remember a few months ago, seeing on someone elses computer a new version of Outlook, and the ribbon at the top wasn't easy to quickly get to grips with. I can't remember if that was Outlook 2007 or Outlook 2010. What version of Outlook did the ribbon start on please?

I Googled first for images of "Outlook 2007", then for "Outlook 2010". Looks like the ribbon was introduced in Outlook 2010.

The ribbon was first introduced in 2007, it got a little better in 2010

Now I have not personally used this, but you can bring the toolbars back.
HowTo Geek Guide
shows what it would look like

*edit* apparently its not free.., i thought it was, but will leave it as an option anyway

There is no reason to go with 2007, imo. 2010 is superior in every way I know, at least.

2013 suffers from a poorly designed UI, so you might want to avoid that.

The ribbon started with 2007, and like mentioned above, got better with 2010.

You will adapt to it. Its not like trying to adapt to windows 8.0.

Thanks all for the help. Great forum here. This is my daily use of the MS Office products:
Outlook - 4 hours a day
Access - 2 hours a day
Frontpage - 2 hours a day
Publisher - 1 hour a day
Excel - 30minutes a day.

In view of the above, which year would be the best, most stable and VERY user-friendly please?
