Outlook 2002 (XP) Question

I dont use outlook as my default client (I use thunderbird on linux) but I have outlook set up to send emails through my smtp server when I am on windows. However, when I send an item, it stores it in outbox and I have to manually click send/recieve. How do I make it so when I send an email, it sends the item right away and I dont have to go back and open up outlook and then send the item.

Thanks

I've got Outlook 2003, but this should be more or less the same in Outlook XP:

Up in the menu bar, click on Tools, and then Options. In the Options window, there should be a tab labeled "Mail Setup". Click on that tab, and there should be an option labeled "Send immediately when connected". Click the box next to it to put a check in it, and then click on OK to close the window.

If the box is already checked, what you might want to try is clicking it to un-check it, hit Apply, and then click the box again to put the check back in the box.
