This is really weird - everything else works fine on this computer, but when I open a new message in Outlook and start typing, it takes like 5 seconds for the words to appear on the screen.

Anyone ever seen this or know what might cause it?

Outlook 2002/Windows XP with plenty of RAM (1GB) and only a couple hundred email messages.

Thanks :)

Not sure if my problem is related but sure sounds like it. I just did a fresh install of XP and Office 2002. I restored my Outlook email with a backed up .pst file. I have never done this before. Usually I just wipe all of my emails and start over. Now when I preview my emails with the preview pane (same as I used to do) it takes a good 5 seconds for the email to pop up in the window at the bottom. It has never done this before and is totally anoying. The only other thing I did was install all of the Office updates. Not sure if a new update had come out since the last time I updated my old install of Office. If anyone has any ideas I would greatly appreciate it, because this is driving my nuts.

Thanks
