Outlook 2000 on Server???

Hey guys had a question....I was wondering if it was possible to put Outlook on a server to use as a central Time/Date/Contact medium so that all computers would access the same info. Also, if so how can it be done and what extra software, etc need to be obtained? Thanks in advance guys!

 
Ok I think i'm gonna answer my own question here...do I need to install Microsoft Exhange on my server and that'll enable me to use Outlook as a central planner???
