Outlook 2000 Custom Install in Win2k

I'm looking for some program that will take a "snap shot" of all the setting that I have checked in Outlook 2000 (i.e. the spelling option, offline folders settings, ...etc) and create a file that will tell the installer to setup these setting during install on a new machine. This would be installed on Windows 2000 Professional stations. I've tried looking at the MS Office ResTool kit, but it's not very elaborate or easy to follow. Any suggestions?? You should use the 'Custom Installation Wizard' fromt the MS Office 2000 resource kit. If you don't have access to the resource kit you can try using WinInstall LE to take before and after 'snapshots'. WinInstall LE can be found on the 2000 server CD or downloaded from MSs site.
 
Is there any reason why I can't figure the program out (WinInstall LE). What the heck am I suppose to do... it wants to scan the C drive for something. Can anyone help me understand the steps necessary to complete a task such as this? As you can see I'm not very fluent with creating my own install. Thanks
 
Basically you have to use two machines. Install WinInstall on one and then share the Wininstall directory. The second machine should be a 'clean' machine, meaning nothing but the OS installed. From the second machine browse to the WinInstall share and run the discovery. When the discovery is complete you will be prompted for the setup.exe for the app you want to install. After installation just do any desired customisations and reboot the machine. Then browse to the WinInstall share and run the discovery a second time. This creates a 'snapshot' that will include an MSI, directories and files that need to be added, and reg files for the registry entries.
