Last year at Christmas time my parents and I agreed we'd go 50/50 on a Bass guitar for me. Unfortunately, a lot of things happened with my family and me and the deal just sort of kept getting postponed. Well, just in time for this year's Christmas we finally got to settle our initial agreement. :p

Old DanElectro Bass Guitar I had (thinking about selling this one, but it needs some work):

50/50 deals are sweet

however, I got my video card on a 50+50 deal
mom paid 50, dad paid 50, I got 300 dollar video card:)

I didn't hound my parents about it at all and I'm very grateful for their help in getting it. Like I said, we did a 50/50 deal so I put in some hard-earned cash into it as well.

I kept coming back to it in the store. I'd pick up 2 bass guitars test them out and say "Let me see that Fender again". Then after playing it a little, I'd test out another 2 or 3 and say the same thing over again. Kept doing that for a while. I just couldnt find another guitar with the sound I get out of this one. Love it.

Well it fell off a truck, so I picked it for free and kept the $100

Sweet bass, I play on a Fender P-Bass American 62 reissue. Got it 10 years ago and still use it. I really need to lower the action though, I go to the local guitar center and have a way easier time playing on basses with lower action.

Save up for a good head/cab next ;)

Just to let you know it needs some work done to it.

New volume knob (old one got broken)
Top of the neck should probably replaced as theres a chunk missing from it.
The output jack is loose.
One of the screws for the strap came out (trying to fix that one right now).
